VectraLabel overview
VectraLabel is a food label compliance SaaS built on the TenancyEngine platform. It helps food businesses create, manage, and validate nutritional labels against FDA (USA), CFIA (Canada), EU, and FSANZ (Australia/NZ) regulations.
What it does
- Label CRUD — create and manage food labels with structured nutritional facts, serving sizes, and ingredient declarations
- Compliance validation — instant per-field violation reporting against FDA (USA), CFIA (Canada), EU, and FSANZ (Australia/NZ) regulations; returns structured pass/fail results with remediation hints
- Recipe builder + costing — ingredient-line recipes with calculated Nutrition Facts, batch/multi-recipe costing, and USDA/CNF ingredient search
- Template management — save reusable label templates to accelerate label creation
- Integrations — Shopify product sync and GS1 barcode/GTIN support (both plan-gated; degrade to an honest "not included" state when not entitled or not connected)
- AI knowledge-base chat assistant — Growth+ plans get an app-scoped RAG chat over uploaded knowledge (degrades to a friendly "not configured" message when the platform's AI provider keys aren't set)
- Usage metering — per-tenant label creation metered via SaaSRuntime entitlements (

Architecture
VectraLabel is the first greenfield application on the TenancyEngine / SaaSRuntime / TenaBill stack:

Tenancy model
One tenant = one food business. All data (labels, templates) is scoped by TenantId. Demo tenant: demo-bakery.
